  • Building the Future: an integrated strategy for nursing human resources in Canada
Building the Future: An integrated strategy for nursing human resources in Canada is a milestone project; the first national nursing study that is both endorsed and led by the nursing stakeholder groups in Canada. With surveys, interviews, and other research tools, Building the Future will fill the health human resource data gap, considered to be one of the major contributors to Canada’s current health care situation. There’s been much talk about the data dearth; Building the Future is doing something about it.

  • Canadian Home Care Human Resources Study
The Canadian Home Care Human Resources Study is a two-year examination of the human resources issues facing the home care sector in Canada for today and tomorrow. Over the last decade, Canada's home care sector has grown and changed significantly. This has brought a growing number of human resource challenges. Although some information on the Canadian home care workforce does exist, there is insufficient labour market information available to inform important decision making on how to meet growing demand for home care services. The Canadian Home Care Human Resources Study is being undertaken to fill this gap.
  • National Physician Survey
The overall goal of the National Physician Survey (NPS) project is to produce a comprehensive database documenting what all physicians in Canada are currently doing in their practice of medicine, in response to societal health care needs across Canada, as well as their own personal interests and career plans. The database also includes the perspectives and expressed practice intentions of the physicians of tomorrow.
